Online Aadhaar Services Appointment
The Aadhaar Seva Kendra project and the online appointment booking service for locals were both introduced by UIDAI. Any resident can schedule an appointment for Aadhaar enrolment or an update at any convenient ASK using the online appointment system used by all UIDAI-run Aadhaar Seva Kendra.
Any resident may use https://appointments.uidai.gov.in/bookappointment.aspx to schedule an appointment for themselves or a family member. To use this free service, a resident does not need an Aadhaar-registered mobile number. One resident is only permitted to schedule up to four appointments per month.
Additionally, BSNL Centers and other Aadhaar Kendras located in banks, post offices, state government offices, and other locations are being integrated with the online appointment system.
UIDAI launches a new toll-free number to check Aadhaar card status, locate enrollment center, and more;
The Aadhaar card’s regulatory body, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), has also introduced a new interactive voice response (IVR) technology-based customer service that will be accessible for free around the clock. To use the IVR-enabled services, customers must dial the toll-free number 1947. They can use it to check the status of their PVC cards, Aadhaar updates, or to receive information via SMS.
IVR is a technology that enables voice interactions between telephone users and computer-controlled telephone systems. The voice tries to respond to user questions or, if necessary, transfers the call to the appropriate party.
UIDAI also introduces chat support powered by AI and ML.
UIDAI has launched online chat support powered by artificial intelligence or machine learning to make it simpler for users to check the status of their Aadhaar or PVC cards. It will enable better customer interaction and provide answers to their questions directly.
Residents can register grievances, track the status of their Aadhaar PVC cards, and more with the help of chat support.
The “Head of Family”-based online address update is enabled by UIDAI.
The Unique Identification Authority of India has also announced to enable “Head of Family” based online address update in Aadhaar, which will simplify the requirements and process for changing a person’s address on their Aadhaar card. According to the UIDAI circular, residents can update their address in their Aadhaar online with their Head of Family (HOF) approval.
The relative(s) of a resident, such as the children, spouses, parents, etc., who lack supporting documents in their names to update their address in their Aadhaar, will benefit significantly from the HoF-based online address update in the Aadhaar. The HoF may accept or reject a request for address change within 30 days of the service request date.
Check out the “HEAD OF FAMILY” METHOD FOR UPDATING the ADDRESS.
It can be done by submitting a Proof of the Relationship document, such as a ration card or mark sheet, along with a marriage certificate. Also, the passport, etc., which states the applicant’s name, the HOF’s name, and the nature of their relationship in front of the HOF, authenticates the document using an OTP. Suppose the resident cannot provide a Proof of Relationship document. In that case, UIDAI allows them to submit a self-declaration from the “Head of the family” in the format required by the UIDAI.
This option would be in addition to the ability to update an address using any legitimate Proof of Address document that the UIDAI has approved. Any resident at least 18 years old can use this designation and give their relatives access to their address.
The relative(s) of a resident, such as children, spouses, parents, etc., who lack supporting documents in their names to update their address in their Aadhaar, will benefit significantly from the HoF-based online address update in Aadhaar. Within 30 days of the service request date, the HoF may approve or reject a request.
How to update addresses using HoF based:
Step 1: Users must first visit the “My Aadhaar Portal.”
Step 2: When updating their address online, residents can select the Hof-based option.
Step 3: Residents may enter the HOF’s Aadhaar number, which will only be validated.
Step 4: The resident will need to upload the Proof of Relationship document after the Aadhaar number of the HOF has been successfully validated.
Step 5: The resident must pay the service fee of Rs. 50.
Step 6: Following a successful transaction, the resident would also be given a service request number (SRN), and the HOF would be notified via SMS of the resident’s address request.
The Aadhaar Seva Kendra’s service procedure:
The Aadhaar Seva Kendra has 4/8/16 operator stations with a capacity to handle up to 250/500/1000 service requests per day, according to the defined model for each city.
The ASK uses an automated Token Management System (TMS) for walk-in residents and an online Appointment Management System (AMS) for the residents who choose to schedule appointments before visiting the ASK. Every day at 5:30 pm, the final token of the day is distributed.
